Some of my favorite beaches and beach towns along the California Coast, from Trinidad to the Monterey Bay, are described in this issue of Photograph America Newsletter. Some of these locations can be seen from San Francisco and some are perched on remote cliffs on the edge of the Lost Coast. I’ve included an antique roller coaster, a Russian fort and strange rock formations on Bean Hollow State Beach. Heading south from the Oregon border and ending at Capitola Beach, this trip can take a few days or several weeks to explore and photograph these California treasures.
