Bird photographers will discover the many wildlife refuges along the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Landscape photographers will discover small fishing villages, long barrier islands where wild horses roam, and dark cypress swamps. From Elk Neck State Park at the north end of Chesapeake Bay to James Island near the Virginia Border, I explored the coves, fishing villages, and remote islands to discover the best places for photography. Here are my findings.
Included are details on Assateague Island and the Delaware Coast as far north as Bombay Hook, one of the most important stop-over points for migratory birds on the Eastern Flyway. |
